Using StudyAesthetic without an account

You can convert, edit and export notes without signing up. To make that work we store a random identifier in a signed cookie on your device so we can show you your own notes and count your daily free pages. It holds no personal information. If you later create an account, the notes tied to that identifier move to your account.

What we collect

If you create an account: your email address and the name you choose. We sign you in by emailing you a link, so your email is also how we reach you for sign-in; we send no marketing from it. For everyone: the photos, audio, PDFs and links you submit, the notes generated from them, and basic product events such as “a conversion finished” or “an export was downloaded”. Payments are handled by Polar; we never see your card details.

How your uploads are used

Your photos are sent to Google's Gemini API to transcribe and structure them, and are kept in private object storage so we can crop diagrams out of them and build your before/after card. They are not public, are not shown to other users, and are not used to train models.

Deleting your data

Deleting a note deletes the note and the source files it was made from. Deleting your account, from the Account page, removes every note, upload and export we hold for you. Notes made without an account are removed automatically after 30 days if they are never claimed.
